Lodging

Lodging for our hunters is provided at our 5,500-square-foot log home located just off State Highway 13, north of Craig, Colorado. The lodge is located just 1/2 mile from some of our best elk hunting and offers fantastic views of Little Buck Mountain. It is not uncommon to look out our picture windows and see hundreds of elk on the mountain. Many of our hunters tell us that they see more elk from the lodge than they have seen in all the years they have spent elk hunting other places. If you would rather be outside, there are several decks where you can enjoy the fresh air and have a good chance of spotting wildlife.

The lodge consists of a large heated “mud room” where hunters store hunting clothes, boots, and guns. Inside the lodge there are four large bedrooms. Each has its own private bathroom. Two of the bedrooms have 2 beds each; one bedroom has 4 beds and the large loft also has 4 beds.

We eat in a large dining room and meals are served buffet style. All meals are home-cooked at the lodge by our cook and portions are generous. The lodge also has two large, flat-screen T.V.’s with satellite service.

The lower level holds our “guides’ quarters” and a lounge. The lodge offers very comfortable accommodations for everyone, with all modern conveniences, including a washer and dryer, a three-door “True” beverage refrigerator for guests, a shop building, barn, and both indoor and outdoor meat poles for hanging game, if necessary.
